HawkSupport AGM and Q & A with Galey

Postby baz » Mon Jul 26, 2010 8:46 pm

Just a reminder to all Hawks fans out there that the HawkSupport AGM will be held this Thursday in the club at 8 pm. It would be great if we can get as many fans as possible to come along to let us know what you wish to see from the Supporters Club and any ideas you may have for raising money that will help the club. As previously mentioned we are also looking for new Committee members to help carry HawkSupport forward in the future. It doesn't take up many hours of your time, meetings take place on average once a month, and it gives great satisfaction when you've played your part in being involved with fundraising to help the football club with donations for various equipment and projects that may otherwise come out of the club budget.

Following the AGM, Galey, and possibly Jonno will join us and take any questions from fans regarding the playing side of the club and will give his thoughts and opinions on the forthcoming season. These forums are always very informative and Galey never pulls his punches over any issue that may arise, this is YOUR chance to question the Manager in the company of fellow fans, please don't waste it.

Here's hoping

Thanks to everyone for the AGM & Q&A last night. As a fairly new Hawks supporter (three seasons) I found it very interesting.

Hope Hawks Support gets the required committee/officers at the EGM.

Yes. Thanks to Baz for organising it and once again to Shaun for being so open and forthcoming with his answers.
For those that weren't there and were after an injury update it is as follows, I think?

Wes - not likely to be too long term - still has chance of making opening day
Manny - hopes to play some part against Sutton next week. Again the opening day may come too soon but will be there or thereabouts.
Ryan - slowly beginning his recovery. Started running and hoping for return to light training shortly. Although no dates actually mentioned it sounded like another couple of months and he may be back playing.
Wilko - still plenty of hard work needed to return. No timescales given.

Many thanks to everyone who came along to the AGM and Q&A session last night.

Regarding the AGM, because we still need to fill 2 or 3 Officer posts it was decided that we would hold an EGM immediately after the Sutton game next Saturday. If there is anyone interested in joining the committee for the coming season which promises to be an exciting one, please meet outside the clubshop immediately after the game. I believe it is important to retain a Hawks supporters club so any help you can give as a committee member will be gratefully accepted.

Many thanks once again to Shaun, Jonno and Brocky for coming along last night to answer all your questions.
