Simpemba takes October player award

Ian Simpemba’s crucial brace of goals in the FA Cup game against Crawley, which also saw him nominated for the E.ON Player of the Round, no doubt had a hand in his selection as HawkSupport’s Player of the Month for October, presented before last weekend’s game against Newport County by junior member Kyle Jamieson.

In a process that usually sees hot competition for the winning spot, Simpemba won by a landslide; his first Player of the Month award since joining the Hawks in the summer.
